The Bonza Charities
Now while the adventure and the promise of apocryphal lands beyond our shores are clearly motivation enough to go on this trek there are many more important and worthy reasons to do it as well. These reasons are the following charities, and these charities are where your cash will be landing when you donate to us!
You can donate online to these charities by going to the Donate page and following the instructions.
Mercy Corps

This charity is where the largest chunk of the dosh we raise will be heading. This is because it is a fantastic charity in every respect, raising money for projects all over the world including Mongolia, Bosnia, Kosovo, all over the Middle East and throughout Africa and Asia. These projects are as far-ranging as sweeping for mines in Bosnia to helping Iraqi refugees in Syria with training and job skills. Their work is as important as it is varied and we will be visiting their projects in Bosnia to see first-hand what good they are doing for the communities.
Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice

The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice is based in Farnham, Surrey and helps care for people with terminal illnesses, specialising in cancers and motor neurone disease. We have chosen to raise money for this fantastic institution because of their care and support given to David's mother Evelyn and the rest of their family after she was diagnosed with motor neurone disease, until her death in 2008.
Kidney Research UK

Kidney Research UK conducts research into treatments for kidney disease to improve the quality of life for those suffering from kidney disorders. This charity was chosen because Robbie was diagnosed with end stage renal failure in mid 2007, and went through many months of life-saving treatment before finally receiving a transplant. The fact that he is able to take part in this rally at all shows how much renal treatments have advanced over recent years, thanks in no small way to this charity.
